General approach

This website deliberately avoids tracking and third-party embedded resources and sets no cookies – except for one strictly necessary security cookie for the contact form (see “Contact form”). We only process the data required to technically operate the site and to answer your inquiries.

Server log files

This website runs as part of the DevWorld customer portal on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (Hetzner Cloud, Falkenstein data center, Germany). When you visit this website, technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser identifier) is processed automatically. This data is used to ensure secure operation and for error analysis (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) and is deleted according to the host's retention periods.

Contact form

If you contact us via the contact form, we process the data you provide (name, email address, company if given, message) solely to handle your inquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data is transmitted to us by email and is not shared with third parties.

To protect against forged form submissions (cross-site request forgery), the contact page sets a strictly necessary security cookie. It contains only a random security token, is valid for the duration of your browser session only, and is used neither for tracking nor for advertising (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). The website sets no other cookies.

To prevent mass abuse, we limit the number of messages per sender. For this we keep only a non-reversible check value (hash) derived from the IP address in memory for at most 24 hours; the IP address itself is not stored for this purpose (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Customer portal and license API

The following applies in addition to the customer portal (account.devworld-llc.com) and the license API (api.devworld-llc.com):

  • Account data: When you create a customer account we process your e-mail address, your password (stored as a hash only), and optionally a company/club name – to provide and manage your account.
  • Order and license data: For purchases we store the product, price, time, and status as well as the issued license keys and their validity – to fulfil the contract and to provide your order and license overview.
  • License checks: Connected installations transmit the license key, a pseudonymous installation identifier (hash), and optionally a display name when validating. We use this to verify license validity and device limits.
  • Payments: Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. (USA). Your payment details (e.g. card number) are entered directly with Stripe and never reach our servers; we only receive references and the payment status. See stripe.com/privacy.
  • Cookies: The portal uses strictly necessary cookies only (login session, security tokens, language preference) – no tracking, no advertising.
  • Hosting: Portal and API run on servers operated by Hetzner Online GmbH (Falkenstein data center, Germany); the server log files described above apply.
  • Retention: We keep account, order, and license data for the duration of the business relationship and beyond where legal retention obligations apply. On request we will delete your account – contact office@devworld-llc.com.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection. To exercise these rights, contact office@devworld-llc.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority.
